Deleting a subscription does not delete the underlying database or schema. That's not a bug.Figured out the issue. Unless I am missing something this may be a bug in SQL Server 2012?
Prior to the test described in my original post I tried to run a full blown database replication (several hundred articles). Didn't get it right the first time, so I figured I will have to play with the whole thing until I get it right.
To get started I Stopped the publication, stopped the subscription, then deleted both. I thought that deleting the subscription on LORENZ would erase all data associated with the subscription.Turns out that was incorrect.
